On February 3, 2016, the Michigan Supreme Court reappointed Benjamin J. Aloia to the State Committee on Model Civil Jury Instructions for the terms continuing from January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2018. This committee is composed of particularly qualified attorneys and judges whose duty is to ensure that the state’s Model Civil Jury Instructions are concise, understandable, conversational, balanced and not argumentative. The committee has the authority to amend or repeal existing instructions and, when appropriate, adopt new instructions. Mr. Aloia has been a member of this committee since September, 2013.
